Every stone is independently graded. Here is how to verify it.

Certification & quality

Are all your diamonds certified?

Yes — every diamond on Shoping ships with its original GIA, IGI, HRD, or AGS certificate. The certificate number on our product page can be looked up directly on the lab’s own website before you check out.

How do I verify the certificate is authentic?

Copy the certificate number from the product page and paste it into the lab’s public report-check tool (gia.edu, igi.org, hrdantwerp.com, or agslab.com). The grading report on the lab’s site should match what we show.

Do you grade any diamonds in-house?

No. We do not assign grades ourselves. Grading is the one thing we never want to mark our own homework on — it is always done by an independent lab.

Viewing & consultation

Can I see the diamond before I buy?

You can request a video call with one of our diamond consultants who will inspect the stone live for you under controlled lighting. Use the “Inquire” button on any product page to book a slot.

Do you have a physical showroom?

Our vault is in Surat and we welcome appointment-only viewings. Email concierge@shoping.com with your preferred dates and the diamonds you would like to inspect.

Can a consultant shortlist diamonds for me?

Yes. Share your budget, preferred shape, and end use (engagement, investment, gift) on the contact page and a consultant will reply within one business day with a curated shortlist.

Pricing

How is pricing decided?

We use a rule-based pricing engine: a base price per carat is multiplied by a carat-weighted factor and adjusted for cut, color, and clarity. There is no markup negotiation — the same diamond costs the same for every buyer.

Do prices include taxes and duties?

Listed prices are exclusive of local taxes and import duties, which vary by destination. The final amount, including any applicable VAT/GST or duty, is shown at checkout based on your shipping address.

Do you offer trade-in or upgrade programmes?

Yes. Diamonds bought from Shoping can be traded toward an upgrade of equal or greater value at any time, for the original purchase price minus a small handling fee. Contact us for the current terms.

Shipping & insurance

Where do you ship?

We ship to over 60 countries via fully insured, tracked courier with signature on delivery. Some destinations may require additional KYC documentation before dispatch.

How long does delivery take?

Stock diamonds typically dispatch the same day if ordered before 2pm IST. Domestic deliveries arrive in 1–3 business days; international deliveries in 3–7 business days, customs clearance permitting.

Is the diamond insured in transit?

Yes. Every shipment is fully insured for its declared value from the moment it leaves our vault until it is signed for at your door.

Returns & after-sale

What is your return policy?

15 days, no questions asked, on every stock diamond. The stone must be returned with its certificate, original packaging, and tamper-evident seal intact. We arrange the return shipping at our expense.

Are custom orders returnable?

Custom orders are non-returnable but can be exchanged for store credit of equal value within 15 days, redeemable against any other piece in the vault.

How long do refunds take to process?

Once we receive and verify the returned stone, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days.

Custom orders

Do you make custom jewellery?

Yes. We design and produce engagement rings, pendants, and earrings around the stone of your choice. Most custom pieces ship within 3–5 weeks.

Can you source a specific stone I cannot find on the site?

Often, yes. Our network of cutters in Surat and Antwerp gives us access to inventory beyond what is listed online. Tell us what you are looking for and we will see what is available.
